ICELAND

*  Land of Ice and Fire  *

The largest volcanic island in the world is located just south of the Arctic Circle and is for me one of the most impressive places in terms of natural spectacles. The landscape is characterized by volcanism and the surrounding water masses. Black sand beaches, rugged coastal zones and the highlands formed by the many glaciers offer everything a photographer’s heart desires. Local legends tell of fairies and trolls who froze into rocks when they caught the first rays of the sun. Moss covered hills, raging waterfalls, geysers and hot springs offer pure experience. The interplay of the elements earth, water, wind and fire reminds us of the formation of the earth and in no other place on this earth can you feel Mother Nature better than here.
