The world of mushrooms is fascinating. They are a separate species, not an animal and not a plant. Through network inside the earth, invisible by us, they form the communication network for the trees and show themselves on the surface as diverse, mysterious fruits, rich in shape and color. Fungi can appear anywhere, from desert dunes to frozen tundra. They can invade our bodies and thoughts; live between our toes or our floorboards; they are unwelcome intruders or vastly expensive treats; symbols of both death and eternal life. But despite their familiar presence, there’s still much to learn about the eruption, growth and decay of their interconnected world. Here is just a small selection from a magical world.
