I’m Dea

DOCTOR AND PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m Dea and I grew up in the Lower Engadin in front of beautiful mountain scenery. More precisely the Lower Engadine Dolomites with the striking rocky peaks in a geographically and tectonically very interesting region.

Nature was a place of peace and inspiration for me from a very early age. My mother took me to the forest, where I and my friends built castles and caves out of moss.

Today I can say that nature is more important to me than ever before. During my training as a specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system, I was very challanged and put myself under a lot of pressure. Nature helped me to get out of my head, and taught me mindfulness and calmness. The forest and the mountains make me feel alive. The weather, the colors, the silence, all the different plants, mushrooms, stones, mountains, clouds and lakes: the beauty of nature is incomparable.

As often as I can, I spend time in nature and I try to capture those moments with my camera. With my photos I would like to pass on the power and art of nature to you – no matter where, no matter when.
